Visit the Instrument Gallery

  • Opening hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (last admission 5:30 PM)
  • Admission to the Instrument Gallery is free.
  • Reservations are made on-site on the day of the visit (subject to availability).

The MusAB unveils its jewels: the splendid Wooden Model of Boscovich’s Specola from 1765 (temporary exhibition) and the Schiaparelli Dome, the undisputed protagonist of the first studies of Mars.

Download the MARSS App and come visit the MusAB: with new digital technologies, the instruments in the Gallery will accompany you on a journey to discover their link with history, the city, and the frontiers of astronomy.

Admission includes the access to the Gallery (it does not include access to the Schiaparelli Dome).

Visit to the Schiaparelli Dome

After a brief self-guided visit to the Gallery of the MusAB, you will be accompanied to the rooftops to discover the Schiaparelli Dome. The time indicated on the ticket is the start time of the tour; the total duration of the visit is approximately 75 minutes.


We regret to inform you that the Museum and the dome are on the second and seventh floors of the building with no elevator.
